  • RBP Repulsor M/T

Let’s say you’ve got a truck, Jeep, or SUV that’s 4x4 equipped, maybe with a lift kit for ground clearance, and you’re looking for a tire that’s durable so it’ll stand up to rough use and that will deliver tenacious traction in soupy mud, deep snow or slush, loose dirt or sand. All-terrain tires may get the job done, but in all likelihood what you really need is a set of mud-terrain tires.

That’s where the RBP Repulsor M/T comes in. The Repulsor M/T is a tough, heavy-duty mud-terrain tire with the aggressive tread that you need for exceptional off-road performance, and it’s available in sizes up to 40” for oversize fitments (for rim sizes up to 26”) and lifted suspensions. It looks great on all kinds of trucks, and it comes in at a surprisingly affordable price point compared to a lot of the competition.

So what is it about the RBP tire that makes it such a standout when it comes to mud-terrain tires? Let’s have a closer look with this RBP Repulsor M/T review:

    Features and Benefits

Here’s just a few of the features and benefits you can expect with the RBP Repulsor M/T mud-terrain tire:

    • Super-aggressive lug tread with high void ratio and good tread depth
    • Readily sheds mud and debris so there’s always a clear section of tread to dig in as the wheel turns
    • Damage-resistant rubber compound for durability
    • Robust shoulder blocks with lugs that wrap around onto shoulder for lateral traction, enabling you to claw your way out of ruts and deep mud
    • Superior grade materials for long wear and durability
    • Tread pitch is computer tuned to keep road noise low
    • Tread depth a full 16/32”
    • 10 ply rated for enhanced load capacity

    Pros and Cons

So, is this the right tire for you and your budget? Let’s take a look at the Repulsor M/T’s strengths:

    PROS:

    • Superior durability
    • Rugged traction in mud, snow, sand, slush
    • Long, even wear

Unfortunately, no tire is perfect and that’s the case with the Repulsor M/T too:

    CONS:

    • Not exactly quiet on the street
    • Not backed by a limited manufacturer tread life warranty

    RBP Repulsor M/T

If you’re looking for a beefy, tough tire for mud-terrain applications, you’ve come to the right place with the RBP Repulsor M/T. RBP (Rolling Big Power) specializes in mud-terrain and all-terrain tires for light trucks, Jeeps, and SUVs and they have truly done their homework on the Repulsor M/T. It’s the result of a lot of research and development, real-world experience, and feedback, with top-notch materials, design, and manufacturing for a tire that’s loaded with features and delivers amazing performance at a surprising price.

The RBP Repulsor M/T isn’t as quiet on the highway as a touring tire (did you expect it would be?), but it’s not as noisy as some and it offers civilized road manners on the street. It’s available in oversize fitments for lift-kit trucks. The tough construction and rubber compound resists punctures, gouges, and tears, and the Repulsor M/T can be used aired-down with low inflation to easily conform and negotiate obstacles when rock crawling. So if mud is your thing and you need a tire that’ll get the job done and get you offroad and back safely, have a look at the RBP Repulsor M/T.

I only got 10k miles out of them. Very poor wear, alignment was done when they were new. Shook at 60+ mph. Do not recommend.

I did a test run driving around town and on the freeway and they were a bit loud, but that was expected. They actually handle pretty good and the installer at Les Schwab said they balanced with no problem and great for that size of tire. I'm only using them for spring/summer looks and I'll switch back to my stocks since they handle great in the winter.

To begin, I've had more m/t tires than I can remember. They've always been on a Toyota 4x4. I've never expected " good road mamners" from a m/t tire. I've always got them for use on trails, mud holes, hill climbs, ect. Most m/t tires have a short tread life, have soft tread, and are not the best on pavement. Well, i got a set of RBP repulsor m/t's because they looked aggressive. Fortunately, they turned out to be the best tires I've owned. The are absolute beasts in the woods. Ive been on trails where other people needed 4WD and I was still in 2WD. They just seem to dig until they bite. I also have a 60 mile round trip daily for work. Honestly, these tires do make a bit of noise, but for being a m/t id say compared to any other I've had, they're much quieter. As far as longevity, I've got over 40k on one set and I'd say I've got probably another 20k if not more. The one and only negative thing I could think of would be that they aren't the best for stopping on wet roads. Again, I'd say they're much better than any other m/t I've had on wet roads. They also seem to push any water/ rain thru the tread pattern extremely well and it gives me more confidence on the highway in wet conditions. This may seem like a paid review, but I assure you that its not. Im just a regular dude that genuinely feels like I definitely got more than what I paid for. I see no reason to even try another brand of tire. Im definitely a fan !
