My first set I bought to replace a set of worn out Cooper's that I liked at first but about half way tread depth they started getting squirrelly and couldn't keep them balanced. I switched to the General's and they have been great, yeah a little noisy but worth it for the traction I got in mud and snow. Most of the miles I put on them are highway since it's my main travel to and from my farm 300 miles away. But I plow only when we get snow over 6 inches and at the farm I am using it in fields with wet clay and mud and I have had no problems except once I got it stuck pulling my trailer up a bank and it was not the tires but the trailer got hung on the bank but not until I had drug it 4 feet into it and it pulled the wheels up. So I purchased a new set for this year and so far they seem to handle better than the old ones but probably because they are new. With the forecast for heavy snow this season I will update this after the season to see if they are any better.

One of the tires I got was bad from the factory and I had a devil of a time getting bit replaced. I eventually got it exchanged but was never compensated for all the mounting, dismounting and balancing it took to figure out which one was bad. I have had four sets of these tires over the past 11 years. The first three sets were amazing! Quietest 35s on the market and all three sets lasted over 50k (I rotate every 5000 miles). But this set has been nothing but trouble and they are loud which has never been an issue. They also domt feel the same on the road. It's almost like they rollover onto the sidewall in turns. I know they don't but that's what it feels like. The general tire "warranty experts" were rude and flatly refused to help me with the bad tire. At first Simple Tire refused to help as well but after the general tire experts told me I must return through aimpletire I called em and insisted. They relented amd I found out a couple days later that they have a 30 day window (which I was still in) where you can return for any reason. I am less than pleased with the process and the tires. I will be buying nittos next time I guess. The whole deal is a bummer cuz simple tire was a good deal and auper convenient but I almost had to replace my 500 dollar tire at my expense even though it had less than 200 miles on it amd two major tire shops saying it was a bad tire. Skip these and opt for some other brand cuz generals quality has declined in a big way
By far one of the best tires I have ever had. They survived a cross country road trip that went from wet to dry on and off road, then down to Mexico where they pre-ran the Baja 1000, then back home with little tread loss and no damage. Incredible! Already purchased another set for my other truck.
Ok I wanted to wait at least 1500 miles before I submitted A review, we all know anything NEW is wonderful, with the exception of a few bad apples, anyways I absolutely love these tires, I was skeptical at first but my worries soon disappeared after seeing the on a tire balancer and they all balanced wonderful and spun perfectly "round". The road noise is almost un-noticeable, very quiet for an "off-road" tire, the ride is fantastic. As far as wet pavement and snow traction I am not much help because I have not encountered that as of yet, it is still summer here. Made in America? Yes. Recommend? Absolutely. Quality tire for the price point. I know there are plenty of tire manufacturers out there with better (and worse) pricing of there tires but this General tire has my thumbs up. I drive an 2000 model F-350 Superduty 4X4 crew cab, short bed with a 4" lift, nothing fancy.......
Great looking set of tires, not to loud either will definitely buy more. Great off road traction. Not to much give in cornering either ðŸ'ðŸ'ðŸ'ðŸ'
Tires are great! Came super fast! Would extremely recommend them. Would buy again.
Some of the best tires I have ever had. I have ran Mickey Thompsons Baja MTZ, Goodyear Wrangler MTRs, and BFG Mud Terrains KM2. From rock crawling to trails to the baja desert..the General X3s have outperformed in every way!
Excellent tire, had on my rubicon wrangler. It handled all conditions thrown at it. Wet roads, mud, snow, and ice. Did superbly on rocks off road. Very slight noise thru soft top. Excellent road manners.
