6 SimpleTire reviews
With a tread pattern very similar to the original Bridgstone Revo, I was optimistic when I installed these tires. However, unlike the Revo, these are quite possibly the worst tire I have ever owned. This is based almost exclusively on there performance in snow, and wet. I have these in LT265/70R16. They are currently on a 4x4 F150 and live in Northen MN. These tires were given to me by my brother when they had about 10K miles on them. He said he didn't like how they behaved in the snow. Low and behold; he was right. I have been stuck (in 4wd) on countless occasions in snow depths of less than 6 inches. On one occasion, I got stuck in 2" of fresh powder trying back *downhill* out of my otherwise plowed driveway. The snow performance of these tires in no way compares to the Bridgstone Revo (2 sets) Revo 2 (1 set) , Hercules Terra-Trac AT (2 sets) , Goodyear Duratrac (1 set), Falken Wildpeak A/T3W (1 set), or Advanta ATX 750 (2 sets), all of which I have owned. I driven over 50K miles, and several winters on each of the other tires listed, and would recommend any of them without hesitation. Wet performance leaves some to be desired. They displace water well, so no issues with hydroplaning, but they do struggle maintaining traction on wet surfaces (asphalt, concrete, grass and rocks). They are quiet, and do provide a comfortable ride with predictable handling. Traction on gravel and light mud is acceptable for an AT tire, but not as good as any of the tires other I have compared them to. The are tolerable for towing and hauling a load, but the sidewalls do seem to be a bit soft. Fuel economy has been average for what I expect from this type of tire. Treadwear has been very good. I am an automotive technician and keep my truck aligned, as well as tires balanced and rotated. Outside of damage, I never have trouble achieving the "rated" miles on any set of tires. I am not sure anymore what the LT tires are rated for, but I have gotten almost 60K out of them, on top of the 10K already on them by my brother. They are not quite to the wear bars, but with winter approaching and the abysmal performance they have displayed in the winter with much deeper tread, it is time for them to go.
The tires came on the vehicle when I purchased it. Actual mileage is unknown
I love my coopers. I have taken them off road and they performed very well on hill climbs, light mud and dirt trails. My sequoia is not set up to do anything extreme so these tires work well for the occasional off road / camping adventure as well as daily driver. We get snow here and these tires have worked well in keeping the SUV on the road at modest speeds.
Love everything about this tire except tread wear. Belts have broken in two tires and they are going to need to be replaced in 1000 miles or less. Other two may have 2000 miles left on them tops. Will be lucky to get 32,000 from the set. Always rotated
